Enjoyed the big wave day story....I can tell it was a memorable day with lots of good laughs after it was all done. Thanks for the response regarding the hustle required for getting your 'fair share'. I am a fairly strong 57 at 220 lbs and 6'2". I think I might be hitting a transition point but at this time I am trying to keep up with being competent with both short and long boards. Currently have 3 of each. There are plenty of days at Moss Landing and in MX where getting worked just to get out is just such a big challenge. However, once out the ability to get into wave a little earlier would be a big benefit to me. I can see myself possibly moving towards a quad HP for bigger days but part of me feels like I should hang onto the short board pursuit. Currently have 3 short board and 3 long boards. My 10'2" Harbour Rapier has given me so many exceptionally fun days. It lives in Mexico full time.
