You put your right foot in, you put your left foot out, you do the Hokey Pokey, and shake it all about.
By then you'll be laughing so hard, you won't care.
But seriously, I find that no matter what size board, from a 9'6" Turbo, to a 10'0" Rapier, if you have enough speed built up, simply use your back foot as the pivot point, heel on the stringer, toes pointed towards the rail, shift your weight to the back foot, ease up on the front foot, and just turn the board.
Or, just shoot the board towards the back of the wave & fall off and have fun!
