I've had half a dozen different Harbours and they're all great. But for bigger waves, I'd like to chime in with a vote for the Habanero. I used to have a Diamond Tail when it was still called the Simms and mine was the slimmer model that was narrower. Loved it. The Sol is good as well, especially if you want a little extra weight and strength for big waves. But what I love about the Habanero is that it's even narrower in the nose and to me, that's what I want when the waves get anything over true shoulder high. I don't see the need for any extra foam up in the nose - I'm not standing up there (though i have on occasion on small days!) and the lighter the nose is, the easier the board is to bring around. It still paddles plenty well to catch waves. The Habanero is my favorite longboard ever and as soon as mine shows signs of being on its last legs, I'll order another. I could live without every other board in my quiver (Harbour spherical revolver, Harbour banana, fineline avenger, 7'0 thurster, 7'0" bonzer 5, etc.) but I wouldn't want to be without the Habanero.

Thanks again to Rich for making boards that have brought me great joy in the ocean.
