Haven't had the pleasure of riding the Turbo, Habanero, or Wing Pin, but have no complaints about my 9'0" Diamond which I've ridden on up to 10-12' faces. Works really well in overhead surf. It's no slouch moving down the line and handles late, critical take-offs better than any other longboard I've tried. It does require that you be in shape, since it's no cruiser in the paddling department (you can't have everything in one board).
In my experience, this shape starts coming into it's own in the size surf you're talking about. I ride my 9'6" Diamond up to 5'. But when the long-period, winter juice starts pumping, it's the 9'0" all the way.
