Here is a short vignette about the stoke of picking up and riding a new Harbour surfboard. I picked it up just last month and was lucky enough to score some

I grew up surfing in Huntington Beach and after a 13-year hiatus from surfing, I have decided to get back into it. I Will buy a Harbour surfboard; either the
Banana or one of the HP models. But the size chart recommends a 10' board (I'm 6' tall and weigh 195 lbs.). Today I was driving back from a
weekend in San Diego with the family and during a pitstip I stopped into a surfshop to guage how big a 10' board is. They are friggin' HUGE. I have
never owned a board longer...

I'm new to surfing. I know everyone here is big Harbor Surfboard fans. I am too! Beautiful craftsmanship. But I have a question that I hope to get an
unbiased answer.

I'm riding a fish right now because a friend gave it to me to use for free. If I learn on a longboard will this make it harder to transition to a
shortboard?

I am 5'10 - 145 lbs.
